To me, Mary Stewart is the best and will always be the best romantic suspense author. There are many reasons for my case. The most obvious one is this book, and might I say her first. Madam, Will You Talk features the best car chasing scene I've ever read. Not the Bourne Identity kind of chase, but a quiet, poignant, heart-thumping, most beautifully written kind you have to read it yourself to grasp what it's all about. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in this. 5/5
