In my opinion, Stuart is one of the best in maintaining the tension throughout the story. She's one of the few who manage to keep my interest from start to finish. This book is no exception. This is Stuart at her historical top form. The heroine, particularly, acted sensible like she's labelled to be. The chemistry between the two leads is sizzling. The secondary romance is too abrupt and not as appealing, but it does not detract from the main story.
