Marry Me

by Jo Goodman

I can't state enough how I love Jo Goodman's writing. Anything she puts out, I'll read.
This book is no exception. The h/h are immensely likeable, sensible and kind. They're people I want to be friends with, people I could care about. The secondary characters are exceptionally portrayed, especially Whitley. I could probably say she's the only sixteen-year-old character I didn't find annoying.

After the first fifty or so pages, I stopped and thought out loud "what's with Jo Goodman and her abused heroines?". In this book, the extent of the abuse the heroine took made me speechless. It almost eclipsed everything I read afterward. How could someone recover from that so fast? It's almost unbelievable. Anyway, this is Jo Goodman and I'll believe everything she writes -- have I ever told you how much I adore her works?

4/5

Read it for yourself.
