Without witty, sassy dialogues, this book could be a very depressing read. To sum things up, everyone's life sucks. Terribly sucks. The heroine is appealing enough to carry me through the whole book and some more. The plot is not complicated. I can guess the identity (or at least narrow it down to two people) very early on. The crime is hideous. Overall, I have a mix feeling after finishing this book. Gloomy, yet hopeful. One thing for certain is that I'll buy her next book.
