Beguiling the Beauty

by Sherry Thomas

The problem for me is only the beginning of the book, to my regret it brings down the whole story to a tepid tale instead of a red hot one the author intends it to be (and she's more than capable of). The way the hero fell in love at first sight is not believable enough and such an out-of-no-where obsession he has barely warrants any actions and conflicts that ensue. I pretty much checked myself out emotionally one third way through the book, but the story of other two future leading couples kept me going. Let's say I'm dying for the second book, and somewhat looking forward to the third and last installment (although Helena comes off the least likeable character in this book).

3/5
