The Other Side of Us

by Sarah Mayberry

The Other Side of Us told a story of two injured souls who found eachother at their most difficult time. At first they got off on the wrong foot, but the attraction was there. The next time they met, they bantered and in no time hooked up. The diologue is sexy, the chemistry is palpable. The pacing of the story, however, is problematic. The last half of the book feels rushed and formulaic. They fell into bed, they fell in love, then obligatorily fell apart to set up the final revelation scene that you'd expect as soon as the heroine's ex showed up. It's still a very readable book, but falls quite short for what I'd expect from the pen of this author.
